''Diario 16'' (Spanish for "Daily 16") was a Spanish langugae daily newspaper published in Madrid, Spain, between 1976 and 2001. The ''16'' of the title refers to the sixteen founders of the magazine ''Cambio 16''. ==History and profile== ''Diario 16'' was first published on 18 October 1976, as a spin-off of the weekly news magazine ''Cambio 16'' during the early stages of the Spanish transition to democracy with the French ''Le Monde'' as its model. ''Diario 16'' had its headquarters in Madrid〔 and was published by Información y Prensa in tabloid format.〔 Pedro J.
